The reason the picture is on the site is because the moneylenders were right-wing like Bush. Jesus was a leftie, actually.
I agree, the picture is a good one. It's the only example in the Bible where Jesus acts violently. But the Bible doesn't actually say he beat anybody up. The passage goes like this (John, chapter 2, verse 13 onwards),
When it was almost time for the Jewish Passover, Jesus went up to Jerusalem. In the temple courts he found men selling cattle, sheep and doves, and others sitting at tables exchanging money. So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple area, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables. To those who sold doves he said, “Get these out of here! How dare you turn my Father's house into a market!”
You see, he drove out the cattle and sheep with the whip he made, overturned tables, and told the sellers to get out.
Jesus told us that he came to serve, not to be served. He taught us about humbleness, not power.
I don't agree with all the things that lefties say, but I think they get a lot of things right, according to what Jesus taught us.
And right-wingers are almost always the ones most interested in protecting their own property and making money ... which is something Jesus hated.
So there are a couple of things for you to think about!
